Tour Plan

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

You will be picked up either at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi at 07:00 AM to begin your safari to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive from Nairobi to Maasai Mara will take approximately 6 hours.
You will arrive around lunchtime, where you will check in to your hotel, enjoy a meal, and then head out for an afternoon game drive.
In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive through Maasai Mara in search of the Big 5 and other amazing animals. Afterward, return to your lodge for an overnight stay, resting up for another exciting day of adventure at the reserve.

You can book a Hot Air Balloon ride for $500 per person. These rides can be arranged in advance or on-site (depending on availability). The operators are committed to conservation, with a portion of the profits from each flight supporting conservation projects within the park. You will be picked up before dawn and float through the sunrise—sometimes at tree level for great photo opportunities, and sometimes at a higher altitude for an overview of the vast Masai Mara plains and the movement of herds in the early morning

Day 2: Maasai Mara Full day

Today, explore more of the park in a 4x4 with additional game drives in the morning and afternoon. Witness the incredible variety of wildlife that inhabits the area, including wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. You may even spot predators keeping a watchful eye on their movements. Elephants, giraffes, and elands are frequently seen, along with a variety of bird species. The area is known for its rolling green plains and riverine woodlands, where you might spot a black-maned lion, leopard, or cheetah among the diverse game. You may choose to return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your game drive, or alternatively, opt for a picnic lunch and spend the entire day in the park. You also have the option to visit a local Maasai village for an additional cost of $20 per person. As the sun begins to set, stop and take a moment to soak it all in—there are few better ways to wrap up a day of wildlife spotting in one of the world’s most magical places. As dusk falls, a variety of animals may be visible near your camp as well.
After an exciting day, you will return to your lodge for an overnight stay

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel around 10:00 AM for your drive back to Nairobi. You can choose to add an extra morning game drive at an additional cost of $100 USD per person, which covers the park fee and is payable directly to the reserve. The drive back will take approximately 6 hours, with lunch along the way (arranged on your own). The driver-guide will drop you off either at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or at your hotel in Nairobi. To allow for any potential delays, it is recommended not to schedule any international flights departing from Nairobi International Airport before 2000 EAT this evening. If you are interested in staying longer in Nairobi, additional accommodation can be pre-booked always subject to availability.
